One of the World Health Organisation’s six regional offices, WHO/EUROPE serves 53 countries across the continent and is the authority responsible for the public health of populations within the United Nations system.
WHO approached xDesign looking for a way to make health data accessible to a wider range of user types. In order to provide insight, not just information, we built an iOS and Android app to provide original ways of viewing key data. Signed to a long-term agreement, we are proud to have had WHO as a client for 5 years now.
During the midst of the 2020 CoronaVirus pandemic, Scotland's national telehealth and telecare organisation NHS24 was under enormous pressure to provide public healthcare advice through its phone lines.
Tasked with helping out under urgent conditions, xDesign performed a supercharged version of our Discovery, Design and Development process to deliver a solution that provides an up-to-date information portal and symptom checker for members of the public, with a notification and messaging system that can inform the population of the latest Covid19 developments via an iOS and Android App.
Designed for use by the National Health Service (NHS), we designed, delivered and deployed a Bed Management Allocation System (BMAS) that transformed the process of allocating beds in hospitals across the country.
We built a full stack, highly resilient backend system that supported web and mobile allocations - increasing patient safety, valuable time savings, reduced lengths of stay and making essentially cost-savings possible for the NHS.
